A young sustainable environmentalist hailing from Vijayawada, Mr. Sohan Pappu adopts sustainable methods to maintain menstrual hygiene. His pilot project ‘Suraksha’ is an innovative approach that produces organic sanitary napkins with banana pulp and bamboo to promote menstrual hygiene and well being among rural women. With a service motto,he initiated ‘Our Youth Social community’, a charitable organization that reflects his genuine desire to make a difference. The organization focuses on covid relief, women empowerment, health, nourishment, and education.
Mr Sohan is a 19 year old working towards empowering young people to make right decisions which lead to a sustainable life. He runs a charitable organisation Our Youth Social Community, the work of which is to focus on socio-economic problems in the society and the environment. They work towards providing safer solutions towards menstrual hygiene and contribute by making available safe and biodegradable sanitary napkins to women of the vulnerable sections.
